Houston, We have a problem!

So I'm just sitting here thinking, and then it hits me. I CAN'T COOK!!!! What am I going to do? I'm not one of those girls who can't cook and marrys a guy who is like a cooking pro. Nope not me, neither Joe or I can cook. So I think our only options are Top Ramon, Grilled Cheese, and Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches. The only thing a really know how to make that's good is chicken enchiladas, and I can't really cook that every night. lol So now I'm thinking I better start practicing, or secretly hire a chef to cook. lol There are things that come out of boxes that I can cook but I have no idea how to make the real stuff lol. I can't even bbq. I need advice and support! Somebody help!!! lol

We took our engagement pics this past Saturday. Laura did a terrific job she should really warn people about the work out she puts them through. lol It was a lot of fun tho. One day closer.......

A close to another day. It's a nice feeling knowing that a few things have been accomplished. OK, so that's an understatement, it's an AWESOME feeling! This afternoon, after the ladies luncheon and after Joe's seem to be never ending paintball game, we went to corona and talked to lady that is going to be making our cake. She is a very nice lady, and seems to be reliable. I only hope that everything IS what it seems with her. Anyways, we also got some more of our Christmas shopping done, another huge relief. So, we went to Bed Bath and Beyond to register. We told the lady about 300 guests so she said we had to register for double that. That's 600 things to register for!!!!! Let me tell you, NEVER EVER EVER wear high heeled boots to register in!!!! My poor feet feel like I have blisters on top of blisters!!! So needless to say we made it to exactly 300 on the register thingy! lol I'm gonna have to go online and finish registering. That way I can do it in the comfort of my own home in my slippers!!! Oh! And another relief for me today is one of my bridesmaids, the one who just found out yesterday, poor girl! Has already gone to the store and ordered her dress!!! She's like my favorite right now! lol JK But I am very happy she didn't wait! I hope the rest of the will do the same! Only time will tell!

Who knew.......

That planning a wedding could very possibly drive a person to insanity? I think I have just about hit that point. And of course you know me, I can never do anything the easy way. I had to go and have 1 matron of honor, 1 maid of honor, 6 bridesmaids, and 2 candle lighters. Yes, that adds up to a total of 10 girls. Plus, the 2 flower girls and miniature bride. *Sigh, now I see why Beth and Jeremy eloped! It's not THAT bad yet! lol On the brighter side I did get my dress today. Only cost $540ish, and that's including the dress, the jacket, the shoes, the veil, and the outrageously priced undergarments. We have our invites all picked out, we're gonna be ordering them after christmas. And we are going to go see the cake lady hopefully this weekend. I was so disappointed with Sis. Betty Martin said she already had a wedding that day. :( So that's that!! PRAY FOR ME!!!! I could end up in a mental hospital before this is all over! lol

Good News!!!!

To all of you that don't know. I AM ENGAGED!!! My parents, Joe and I all went to Laguna Beach last night. We were walking around and Joe and I decided to go walk on the sand. I didn't think much of it since my moms foot is messed up and she couldn't walk in the sand. So Joe and I were walking and I looked over and saw three people that looked really familiar. I finally recognized them as Bro. and Sis. Serna and James. So I looked at Joe all confused, and then it hit me! He had this huge smile, and started kinda explaining. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!! It was so funny cuz my mom had missed the moment, lol so we had to redo it and Bro. Serna came running onto the beach to take pictures too. It was funny. So after that we went to this restaurant called El Callejon. So we had dinner and we all talked. It was awesome. Everyone is so happy and excited, but ESPECIALLY me n Joe. Oh yea, and he got be the coolest watch ever!!! It's LIME GREEEN!!! Oh, and he bought me a dog. So I'm prolly the only person that can say I got a lime green watch and a basset hound for my engagement!! I love it!!! :) So that's my news!!!

A lil sore!

Yesterday at family day we had a volleyball tournament. It was awesome. We had so much fun. I didn't notice until this afternoon that I had a bruise on my right hand from serving the ball. Well, tonight while we were playing my hand started swelling. So it's a nice redish color and pretty fat. lol I also got my foot crushed by Dan, and ran straight into James. It was a painful night. But it was so worth it. I had so much fun! Well I'm off to do homework now!!! To post again soon.......

P.E.A.K.

I am finally home for a little more than a week. So, we just got back from PEAK. It was the best youth trip I have ever been on. It was nice flying in an air conditioned plane for a few hours rather than days on our hot bus. We stayed at the Embassy Suites, a very nice hotel. I shared a room with Sarrah, Laura, Claudia, Valerie, Chantel, and myself. It was an interesting group. We had so much fun. Great memories were made, from a middle of the night snack trip down to the lobby, to Sarrah's new outfit (the sheet aka Carmello's shirt). We has so much fun, but nothing made the trip more worth it than the services. Wednesday nights service was awesome, I have never seen or felt such an amazing and powerful moviement of God. I can't even explain it. It was impossible NOT to be touched by the spirit. Our whole group was greatly blessed the first night. We couldn't imagine how the services the rest of the week could be more powerful than the first, but the other two nights were far more powerful. These services made a major effect on me and have changed me. Nothing compared to Friday nights service though. It was the most amazing thing seeing our youth group unite as one and pray together. We were all so moved by the spirit. Whoever was unable to make it this year definitely needs to start saving now if need be, so they can go next year. It was a life changing event and wil be a major historical mark in the history of Pentecost.
